Asmission SAMARTH Portal 2025
In a bid to streamline the admission process for Under Graduate Programmes in all Higher Education Institutes of Assam, Govt. of Assam had launched a common online admission portal called SAMARTH with effective from the academic session 2023 – 2024. SAMARTH Admission Portal facilitates the admission process for Four-Year UG Courses and Five-Year Integrated Masters Programmes across all Government, Private, Provincialized, PDUAM, Government Model Colleges and State Universities in Assam.
The Ministry of Education’s “Samarth” initiative was launched in 2019 as part of the National Mission on Education through Information and Communication Technology (NMEICT-II, now NMEICT-III). Its goal is to provide universities and other higher education institutions (HEIs) with a digital framework for planning, managing, providing, and monitoring services for students, staff, and other stakeholders. Under the project, the HEIs are provided with a fully managed, cloud based, comprehensive ERP that is custom built for HEIs of the country.
The timeline for FYUGP/FYIMP/FYUPGP admission 2025-26 for non-CUET students in Assam through the Assam State Higher Education Admission Portal (SAMARTH) has been rescheduled in light of the current flood situation. Details available here.

The integrated admission platform known as the Assam State Higher Education Admission Portal is now available to students who want to apply for admission to all of Assam’s public and private universities and colleges. Students would now not have to move from place to place for submitting admission forms.

How to Apply for Assam College Admission 2025?
Therefore, the old UG admissions procedure will no longer be used by the government of Assam beginning with the academic year 2023–2024. All the students who have passed Higher Secondary final examination now have to apply online through Samarth Portal for Bachelor Degree courses.
Students can apply for admission to the college of their choice based on a merit list once the online application process is completed. The Samarth Online Admissions Procedure is described in greater detail below.
Step 1: Select the Important Web-Links section by scrolling down. Step 2: Click the link to the online application form. Step 3: Sign in with your fundamental information first. Name and other details entered by the applicant need to be the same as in the Class X Board Marksheet.
Step 4: After that, fill in all of the required personal and educational information. Step 5: Upload your educational and other documents as required.
Step 6: At the end, submit the form. The transaction will be documented with a receipt. Step 7: Additionally, print a copy of the acknowledgement and the submitted form.
