Assam Orunodoi Scheme

Scope of the Orunodoi Scheme 2025
Government of Assam will provide monthly financial assistance to the eligible beneficiaries for procuring various essential needs, including health and nutritional items such as medicines, fruti, vegetables, pulses and sugar.
Each beneficiary family will receive Rs. 400 to purchase medicine, Rs. 200 to receive a 50% subsidy on four kilograms of pulses, Rs. 80 to receive a 50% subsidy on four kilograms of sugar, Rs. 150 to purchase fruits and vegetables, Rs. 170 to purchase essential goods, and Rs. 200 to purchase LPG gas under this program.

Eligibility Criteria of Orunodoi Scheme
The applicant must meet the following requirements in order to receive the benefits of the program.
i. The applicant must be an Assamese citizen on a permanent basis.
ii. The applicant must currently reside in Assam. iii. any combination of the following:
The applicant’s composite household income should be less than Rs. 2 lakh annually. OR
# Household with dwarfs, people with cerebral palsy, thalassaemia, hemophilia, leprosy, or autism spectrum disorder, or members of those conditions. OR
# Current Beneficiaries of the Indira Miri Universal Widow Pension Scheme and the Deen Dayal Divyangjan Pension Scheme
Criteria of Orunodoi Scheme Assam 2025
| Priority Criteria of Orunodoi Scheme In the event that there is a lower quota available than the number of applicants, priority criteria will be taken into consideration. Widow/divorced female/unmarried female above age of 45 years/separated females Specially abled household member Poor or relying on charity households that do not have a pucca house or shelter Households with no adult member between the age of 16-59 years households headed by women and lacking an adult male member between the ages of 16 and 59 women who have left their homes and live in institutions or old age homes that are registered with the government Victims of human trafficking or rape of any age, recorded in any governmental record |
Orunodoi Assam Exclusion Criteria:
Criteria for Exclusion in the Orunodoi Scheme If any of the following criteria is observed,
the applicant for the scheme will be considered ineligible.
# Households which have any former or current MLA/ MP.
# Current members of Panchayati Raj Institutions, urban local bodies and autonomous councils / VCDCs/ VDCs (in sixth schedules districts)
# Households which have any regular serving or retired Government employees, Co-operative Societies partially/ fully funded by Government.
# Households which have any Doctors, Engineers, Lawyers, Chartered Accountant, Architects and Registered Government Contractors.
# Households with any tax-paying members. # Households in rural areas that own more than 15 bighas of agricultural land or more than one bigha of residential land. # A household that owns 1.5 hectares or more of land in Kamrup (Metro) or 3 hectares or more in any other location, as well as any industrial or commercial land in any location # Households which own motorized four wheeler including tractor.
# Households which own air-conditioner.

How to Apply for Orunodoi Scheme 2025 ?
| The entire application process of Assam Orunodoi Scheme is offline only. Beneficiaries have to apply offline through its respective Gaon Panchayat office. They may follow below mentioned steps. Collect an application form from the respective Gaon Panchayat. # Complete the application. # Along with the Orunodoi Form, attach the following documents: a voter ID, a PAN card, an Aadhaar card, and a bank passbook. The Ward Member of your ward will assist you throughout the application process. # Present the completed application form to the appropriate Gaon Panchayat office. # Orunodoi Sahayaks at GP / VCDC / ULB shall facilitate the process of filling up Detailed Application Form (DAF). # The bank information and other data will be gathered using DAF. # The selected beneficiaries must also sign a self-affidavit detailing the eligibility requirements in the DAF. |
