Assam VFA Admission 2025: Online Training Course Application. The official notice for admission to the one-year VFA Training Course in Elementary Knowledge of A.H. has been published by the Directorate of Animal Husbandry & Veterinary Department in Assam. & Veterinary Science for the 2024-2025 session.

This course will be conducted at the School of Veterinary Science & A.H. at Ghungoor, Silchar, Assam and its extended campuses. For Assam VFA Training Course Admission 2025, interested and qualified Assamese candidates may apply online until July 13, 2025, for a total of 200 seats.

Admission to the Assam VFA Requirements

Resident-ship: Candidates must be permanent residents of the State of Assam and are required to uploads scanned copy of the Permanent Resident Certificate(PRC) along with the Online Application.

Age Limit: A candidate should not be less than 18 years and should not be more than 30 years of age as on 01/01/2025.

Age Relaxation: The following upper age limit can be relaxed:

# OBC/MOBC: a total of three years

SC, ST (P), and ST (H): 5 years each

Educational Qualification: Minimum educational qualification required for admission is HSSLC (Science) passed with Biology as a Subject from the recognized University/ Board .

As appropriate, applicants are required to upload scanned copies of the following documents.

For age proof, HSLC Certificate or Admit Card issued by recognized Board/Council.The PRC (Permanent Resident Certificate) issued for Educational Purpose or Receipt of Application for PRC before the Deputy Commissioner’s Office.
Marksheet for the HSLC or an equivalent HSSLC (School) Marksheet.
Recent picture in the size of a passport. Scanned Copy of Signature of the Candidate.

If applying for this category, a Caste Certificate or EWS Certificate (for the fiscal year 2024-2025) issued by an authorized authority. DDO’s Certificate in case of serving Grade-IV employees of the Department.

VFA Admission Selection Process

When selecting candidates for the one-year VFA Training Course, the following procedure is followed.

Personnel Assessment Test (PAT)

Candidates who meet the requirements are invited to take a 100-point Personnel Assessment Test (PAT), as shown below, following thorough application review:

(a) The percentage of marks earned in HSSLC Science with a Biology weight of 40% (b) The weighted percentage of marks in the HSLC
c) 40% weighting on the Personnel Assessment Test (PAT)

VFA Admisstion Syllabus 2025

Questions are asked about Biology, Physics, Chemistry and General Awareness of state & national importance. Five questions are asked by each member of the Selection Board consisting of 2/3 members daily on a rotational basis. Each question carries 4 marks.

Merit List of Final:

The final merit list is made based on the total marks (a, b, and c), subject to the reservation policy being followed. The candidate selected for admission will have to produce physical fitness certificates from the District/ Sub-Divisional Medical and Health Officers.

After a thorough medical examination and verification of all necessary documents for eligibility, the department cannot accept a candidate from the selection list for the VFA Training Course until it is satisfied with the candidate’s suitability.
