PRE-ENTRY TEST (PET) – 2025
FOR ADMISSION INTO
2-YEAR DIPLOMA IN ELEMENTARY EDUCATION (D.EL.ED.) COURSE FOR THE
SESSION 2025-2027
Online applications are hereby invited from eligible candidates who are permanent residents of Assam to
appear in the Pre-Entry Test (PET)-2025 for admission into 2 -Year Diploma in Elementary Education (D.El.Ed.)
Course. The course will be conducted in the NCTE recognized Teacher Education Institutes (DIET/CTE/Normal
School/BTC/Pvt. TEIs) of the state for the academic session 2025-2027.

| The candidates must have passed Higher Secondary (HS) [10+2] from recognized Board/Council with at least 50% marks in aggregate excluding marks secured in the optional/extra/fourth subject. For candidates belonging to SC/ST(P)/ST(H) category there will be relaxation of 5% of marks in aggregate excluding marks secured in the optional/extra/fourth subject. | The candidate must not be less than 18 years and not more than 34 years as on 1st July, 2025. There will be relaxation by 2 years in upper age limit for candidates belonging to SC, ST(P) & ST(H) categories. |
Reservation: Reservation of seats for the candidates belonging to reserved categories including OBC/MOBC,
SC, ST(P), ST(H), Person with Disability (PWD), EWS will be as per Reservation Policy.
Venue for Pre-Entry Test (PET)-2025: The Venue for Pre-Entry Test (PET)-2025 will be allocated in the
“District” selected by the candidates during submission of online application form, which will be indicated in the ADMIT
CARD of the candidates. Seats will be allotted to the selected candidates in the Teacher Education Institutes (TEIs) of
the “District” in which the candidates choose to appear for the Pre-Entry Test (PET)-2025.
Application Fees: Rs. 600.00 (Rupees Six Hundred Only) for all categories to be paid online through Internet
Banking/Debit Card/Credit Card etc. during submission of application form.
